Outcome 1: Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) to promote alternative low-emission and climate-resilient technologies.The Japan-Caribbean Climate Change Partnership encourages policy innovation via the following outcomes: The national coordination of this project lies with NIMOS. The Participating countries include: Belize, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, the Republic of Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and the Republic of Suriname. The Japan-Caribbean Climate Change Partnership (J-CCCP) is designed to strengthen the capacity of countries in the Caribbean to invest in climate change mitigation and adaptation technologies, as prioritized in their Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs). The initial period for this project was two years but due to many circumstance the project period was extended to December 2019. J-CCCP is funded by the Government of Japan and is implemented by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Sub regional Office for Barbados and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS). In January 2016 the Regional Project of the Japan-Caribbean Climate Change Partnership (J-CCCP) was launched in Barbados. The Approval of the Environmental Framework Act.
